Al-Kisah Jantan Hampeh

Bila dah masuk lif, tetiber sorang makcik vogue (MV) bertanya kat aku:

MV: Amboi sihatnye.. Twins ke?
Aku: Heheh. Taklah. Sorang aje.
MV: Ye ke, nampak macam twins.
N: *menyampuk* Kalo twins senang la kak, kan?
Aku: Heh, SENANG? *dengan nada auntie-auntie*

Semua orang dalam lif tergelak mendengar jawapan aku. Alih-alih, ada pulak sorang jantan hampeh (JH) ni menyampuk..

JH: Sapa kata jaga twins susah?
*aku terus toleh nak tengok sapa la jantans yang kata senang menjaga twins ittew.. la, pokcik tua rupanya. tak jadi aku nak membahasekan dia*

Combating Bedwetting

It's been almost two months since we first started training Amsyhar not to bedwet at night. Slowly but progressively his bladder is coping with the training and he hasn't wet the bed for five successful consecutive nights now.

I decided to stop Amsyhar's diaper-depending-nights sometime in mid-January 2010 particularly due to the reason of my soon-to-be-arrived baby in May 2010. I thought, it's about time for Amsyhar to stop depending on diapers as he's going to be four on 1st April this year. If he doesn't stop using disposable diapers when he sleeps at night, Bard and I will have to bear double cost for diapers after my little baby arrives in May later. Call me stingy or whatever, but dealing with unneccessary expenses like extra cost for Amsyhar's diapers is totally unacceptable to me.

Little Thieves

There's a couple of thieves in Nadia's class. Scary but true.

Nadia has been losing her money since the third week of January until recently. At first, I thought she spent her money at the canteen, buying tid-bits or snacks. She told me she didn't purchase those items and knowing Nadia, she hardly eats during recess. I even thought Nadia was lying to me about spending her money. However after listening to her story about her friend witnessing one boy took something from her purse during class, I immediately change my mind. According to her friend, the boy took her purse from her bag (she always keep her purse in her school bag) and took something out of it before putting the purse back into the school bag. I also realized that the stealing starts after her class-seating was rearranged. Previously she sat next to Yasmin and Raemy. Now she sits beside the boy-thief and her money starts to disappear from time to time.

Psycho Mommy

I was waiting at SJMC (now known as SDMC) lobby at the ground floor when I discover this rare breed of mommy. It was her daughter who caught my attention first. The girl was standing in front of SJMC's retail pharmacy and was talking to her brother who was sitting in a stroller. The mommy was in the store doing some shopping.

The girl was all hip and stylish; with her High School Musical sleeveless t-shirt, trendy jeans, a cute sling pouch and a girlie-girlie handbag. She must be at least 5 years old, or 6 years old. To make matters even more interesting, that girl has a spit image of a friend of mine, who was my junior way back in SMSJ.
[The mother was not my friend, unfortunately. She has similar features as my friend's, similar eyes, lips, straight hair and fair skin. But the lady is a petite woman, a total opposite of my tall lanky junior.]

After the mother's done with her shopping, she chose to sit next to me even when there're plenty of other empty seats at the lobby. Her little cute girl sat behind her. His son was placed directly in front her. The lady was looking so stressed and was busy pushing tiny buttons on her mobile phone. The boy whined something about milk and the girl started to ask question about when their turn is going to be up (to collect their medicine). I noticed that the boy's right hand was plastered and wonder if his blood was taken for some sort of test. Both kids were coughing wet coughs. The boy's voice got louder.

Suddenly the mommy snapped this to the boy:

"Do you see my hands?! Do you see my hands?! Do you see bibik (maid) anywhere?! Do you? If you don't see bibik that means no susu (milk) for you. I'm not gonna do your susu now! Do not ask me to do your susu again!"
